Wedding at New House Farm, Cockermouth

8th June 2026

On Monday 8th June, we had the pleasure of performing at a beautiful wedding celebration at New House Farm in Cockermouth, nestled in the heart of the Lake District.

Set against truly stunning countryside scenery, New House Farm is one of those venues that immediately stands out. Surrounded by rolling hills and wide open landscapes, it offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and natural beauty. The venue has also recently expanded with a brand-new wedding space, allowing them to host more celebrations while maintaining the warm, intimate feel that makes it so special.

We arrived at 6:30pm and were instantly reminded just how impressive the location is. The views alone make it an unforgettable setting for a wedding, with endless opportunities for incredible photos throughout the day and evening.

The couple’s first dance was “A Song to Sing” by Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert, played through their laptop before we took over the evening entertainment.

By 7:15pm we were fully set up and sound checked, ready to get the party started.

Our first set began at 8:15pm, and the dance floor quickly filled as guests got into the swing of the evening. Ahead of the wedding, Bryony had requested a few small changes to our setlist to better suit their tastes. We were happy to accommodate these swaps, including:

  • “Brown Eyed Girl” replacing “September”
  • “A Sky Full of Stars” replacing “Feel So Close”
  • “Daydream Believer” replacing “Valerie”

These personalised touches helped make the night feel even more special, and each request went down brilliantly with guests.

After a short break, we returned for our second set from 9:45pm through until around 10:30–10:45pm, keeping the energy high and the dance floor busy right to the end of the night.

It’s always a privilege to perform at venues like New House Farm, where the combination of breathtaking scenery, a great atmosphere, and a welcoming team creates the perfect environment for a wedding celebration.

A huge congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you for letting us be part of your special day in the Lake District — we wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
